What about the rest of the recipes? The ones that weren't included in the book.

Good question. We do have a number of recipes that we did not include in this book- mostly because they would have been duplicative. With the limited space we kept it to the basics. For example we didn't include both the chicken and beef pot pie recipes. However, there are many recipes that have not been found- lemon meringue pie, huckleberry pie (Lorraine's favorite), Salisbury steak, to name a few. We are still hopeful that someone- maybe who used to work there, or a family member, will dig through a closet and find these lost treasures.

Please, please - can we have the recipe for those incredible chocolate glace cupcakes of our childhood? Nothing in the world tastes like that icing. Does anyone know how to make it?

Rebecca,

Unfortunately we weren't able to find that recipe.

Thanks for the posting!

Yes! The chocolate cupcakes & huckleberry pie were outstanding, but does anyone have a recipe for the coconut cupcakes that were available at the retail stores?? They had a slightly crunchy top and were packed with moist coconut. What a treasure for coconut lovers like myself.

Dear Marianne,
The deep dish apple pie with vanilla sauce was a favorite. Is there a recipe available for the sauce. PLEASE!

Does anyone have the whole wheat muffin recipe? I've tried to recreate it to no avail - I wish I knew the secret. It sure beat the oversized, overly sweet cakey things passed off as muffins these days.
