In the Doris Day Cary Grant film "Touch of Mink", the movie opens with Doris Day getting free food from her friend who works behind the Automat server (played by Audrey Meadows).

Both the dining room, Automat, and kitchen area seem very realistic. Did they use a real restaurant for the film or was it a created Hollwyood set?

Also, I noted that automat machine used push-buttons instead of a knob to select the food. Would anyone know more about that?

Thanks!
